Covid 19 Policy at Wine School
Yorkshire Wine School Coronavirus update
It is with a heavy heart that we have had to make the difficult decision to postpone all of our upcoming courses, events and tastings. It is clear that, in these anxious times, we all have a responsibility to keep each other safe; to continue to run wine tastings would provide an unacceptable level of risk, especially for anyone who shares their life with someone vulnerable. Covid 19 is clearly going to have a dramatic impact on all of our lives in the coming weeks and months. Whilst there is so much uncertainty about what the impact will be and how long it will continue to be felt for, we hope that our decision to postpone all of our tastings until the end of May provides clarity and certainty.
Clearly this decision is a tough one to take, as a small independently owned business we don’t have huge reserves to call upon, but it is unquestionably the right and responsible thing to do. We are working hard to contact all customers with upcoming tastings and liaise with them to rebook later in the year. To that end, we have added a whole swathe of dates to our website running from the summer onwards. Have a look at all of our upcoming dates on one page. We have plenty to choose from in the autumn when, we are very confident, we’ll be over this crisis, and all very much in need of a get together and a jolly good glass of wine! We’ll be there waiting for you, and more than ever, we look forward to welcoming you.
It is also an excellent time to remind you that we sell gift vouchers, these come with an extra-long 2-year expiry date and are ideal to treat someone but still retain that degree of flexibility that these times require. Supporting your local independent business has never been more important; coffee shops, restaurants, bars, shops and your very own wine school, we are all looking at ways that we can evolve, diversify what we offer and stay in touch with you all during the difficult weeks ahead.
Stay healthy, stay well, be kind to each other and keep supporting your indies. We’ll get through this together.
