Introduction to the World of Beer (Leeds)
Are you baffled by the big range of different beers available? Are you stuck in a rut, just drinking your tried and trusted favourite beers? Would you like to learn about the different styles of beer and where in the world they first came from? Would you like to taste different beers side by side so that you can understand the difference in flavour for yourself?
If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then this might be the evening for you! This tasting will give you an overview of the wonderful world of beer. We will discover and taste beers from the likes of Belgium, Germany, USA, Australia and many more; charting the history of brewing around the world to help understand the styles which have developed. We will taste historic, traditional brews such as the trapist beers of Belgium, and more modern beers, looking at the American craft beer movement.
Alongside some of the beers there will be some carefully selected nibbles, chosen to enhance the flavours in your drink and even help you view beer in a whole new light... On a recent YWS beer evening we showed you how some beers can be matched with chocolate! As always, you'll be given tasting notes for your beers and information on some of the best local beer shops so that you can stock up on your favourite brews!
This tasting makes a great gift for the beer lover in your life. If you would like it presented as a gift voucher, simply click on the 'send me a voucher' link in you confirmation email which you will receive after you have made your payment.
