Ham and Friends Special: Back to Basics
Our favourite events are those where we collaborate with other food or wine peeps to bring you the most exciting tastings in town. Have a look at this one from the whole Ham & Friends team... Cheese from George & Joseph, Ham from Friends of Ham and finally wine from our good selves: tempted?
The theme? Back to Basics- wine, ham and cheese all produced using historical methods which have survived through the years. We'll be pouring some Method Ancestral fizz, hand basket-pressed Shiraz, fortified Greek Muscat and an ancient single vineyard Soave. This one is highly recommended for any wine and history geeks (like me!), and all lovers of tasty meat and cheese (think delicious creamy Stichelton, pungent Baron Bigod Brie and sweet nutty Summerfield).
If you haven't been down to our new Wine School home at Ham and Friends on Merrion St then this is the perfect opportunity to learn a little more about the three businesses who call this place home.
- George and Joseph- artisan cheese specialists- 3 cheeses to taste
- Ham and Friends- deli, charcuterie and natural wine from the team who bought you Friends of Ham- 3 different charcuteries to taste
- and us of course- Yorkshire Wine School "wine tasting for everyone"! 3 wines to taste plus sparkling wine on arrival
So book your place, come on down and meet the gang!
