Battle Of The Bao: Grape vs Grain! (Leeds)
It's been nearly 2 years since our very first Battle of the Bao - these tastings have been crazy popular - book quickly if you want a front row seat to this most delicious of battles!
Welcome to our latest beer tasting evening; a tasting which offers a little something for beer and wine fans alike! Yorkshire Wine School has teamed up with the award-winning team behind North Brewing Co and street-food legend Little Bao Boy to bring you an amazing collaborative event with some of the finest Leeds Indies!
North Brewing Co are making some of the freshest and best tasting beers in the city right now so we were super excited when they recently opened their amazing Leeds Tap Room on Sovereign Sq serving all of the breweries experimental beers as well as classics like Herzog and Transmission. To make the new Tap Room even better, local street-food heros Little Bao Boy have taken up a permenant residence in the Tap Room, making it the ideal venue to indulge in squishy buns stuffed with pulled pork alongisde a tasty half of fruity sours!
For our exclusive collaboration James of Little Bao Boy will be cooking up 3 deliciously soft bao buns stuffed with the freshest of Asian-inspired flavours; meanwhile a crew member from North Brewing will pairing the food with 3 beers- showcasing the beer and food of the Tap Room together. Then, to add to the party, Laura from YWS, will be pouring 3 different wines to match to the same bao buns. Who will win the battle of the bao? Will you prefer the match with beer or wine? Either way, you'll enjoy a tasty evening of wine, beer and bao buns with good banter guaranteed.
Please note: this tasting takes place at the North Brewing Tap Room on Sovereign Square and not at the usual Leeds Wine School venue- ideally situated for the train station!
